Pokemon Yellow Update #3

Beat the Pokemon Tower, poor poor Marowak! My Mankey did evolve into a primeape during the tower which was cool. After beating the tower, I have started heading south. Man, this path from Lavendar town to Fuschia city is longggggg. I didn't have any antidotes, and my Pikachu kept getting poisoned and fainted, which was not great for his happiness, but luckily there were enough trainers to battle to get his friendship back up. I haven't had too much time to play this week so I have not gone very far from my last update. However, this is partly because I spent a while trying to increase the amount of pokemon in my pokedex. Im up to 34 or 35 I believe; I got the item finder when I got to 30 mons registered after I used the Poke FLute on the snorlax. I am continuing to really enjoy this game and I will hopefully make it to Fuschia City tonight!

Pokemon Yellow Update #2

Made it to Lavedar Town last night. Since it has been ages since I last played gen 1, I had zero clue where to go...or maybe I just didn't pay attention to the dialogue lol!. When I first arrived, I tried going to the tower. I made it all the way to the top and then was blocked by the ghost who made my team so frightened they wouldn't attack. Furthemore, the tower kept making me so frustrated because every singly trainer's mon would confuse mine everytime; I woon, but it was still so annoying. However, I enjoyed that dungeon. Although, what I enjoyed the most, and what the majority of my most recent playtime consisted of was gambling and the Team Rocket hideout in Celadon City. The hideout was fun. The trainers were a little tedious and annoyng, but getting to hear James and Jesse say the classic "We're blasting off again!" line at the end of the hideout, before fighting Giovanni for the first time, was awesome to see/ The giovanni fight was excellent; a little challenging, but not too tough. Overall, the Team Rocket hideout was enjoyable content, and don't even get me started on my addiciton to the slot machines . . .!!!

Pokemon Yellow Update #1

Starting these updates a little late. Just beat Lt. Surge and am heading to Lavendar town. I played through Red years ago, but never fully appreciated gen 1. I am really enjoying the beginning of Yellow. Will post more updates (in detail since I got this blog working) as I continue to play the game. My goal is to play through the definitive version of each gen on original hardware (yikes! my wallet is crying).
